thomas ridley brings a one-two punch of artfully sculpted, rolling techno to GOTO, following a thrilling live debut at Bristol's Strange Brew. With experience in the visual arts and a knack for spellbinding songcraft as part of power trio Poisonous Birds, thomas' electronic experiments always take every sonic element into consideration. Recent soundtrack commissions add a hefty filmic aspect to his current process, designing aural worlds for the listener to sit, explore or dance within.

"moon roof" gives an immediate primer to thomas' sonic workshop, with a playful, shapeshifting drum pattern getting the feet moving. Waves of chords envelop the listener further, before the track breaks down into total ambience. "majic" is a more downtempo affair, bringing thomas' talent for sound design to the fore. Skronked-up drums and icy timbres dominate here, once again changing shape and structure as the piece progresses. Give your brain space for thomas ridley.
